Auburn

Auburn University is a public university located in Auburn, Alabama. With more than 25,000 students, it's one of the largest universities in the state. Auburn dates back to 1856, and was Alabama's first four-year co-ed college.  Today, it is consistently ranked among the top public universities in the nation.

The Auburn Tigers participate in Division I-A of the NCAA and in the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC), of which Auburn was a founding member. The Tigers have won 16 NCAA Championships across a number of sports. In 2010, the Tigers football team went undefeated, and won their 2nd national championship, defeating the Oregon Ducks 22-19 in the BCS National Championship Game!
